Karen Weidinger was diagnosed with breast cancer June of 2002.
She battled breast cancer through multiple treatments of chemotherapy and
radiation, surgery and numerous medications. After a brief remission,
Karen’s breast cancer returned in the fall of 2003 and then took her life
in March of 2004.
Karen loved boating, bicycling, outdoors, volunteer work, enjoyed many
friends and was a treasure to her family. She will be greatly missed, but
her legacy will live on. Karen was focused on helping others understand
breast cancer and getting informed decisions on their best treatment
options.
She never gave up hope that she would win against her battle with breast
cancer.
Her family and friends will continue what she had started for breast cancer
awareness.
