In 2011, your DOLLARS made a DIFFERENCE in the lives of those affected by breast cancer!
Below are a few highlights from SSM St. Joseph Health Center programs that were directly funded by grants made possible by the Karen Weidinger Foundation in 2011.
- Over 900 women and their families had their lives touched by the generosity of the KWF in 2011.
- Participation in weekly and monthly support groups with a certified group pyschotherapist almost doubled from approximately 350 in 2010 to 680 in 2011.
- In 2011 a new program designed to identify and address brest cancer risk factors in women was started in conjunction with SSM Cancer Care.
