OVER $5000 IN ATTENDANCE PRIZES WILL BE GIVEN OUT AT THE 2011 KAREN FOR A KAUSE.

The Karen Weidinger Foundation, the host of the 6th Annual Karen for a Kause events, is pleased to announce that OVER $5OOO in attendance prizes will be handed out at this year's events. All registered 5K and 1 Mile participants will have their race number automatically included in the drawing. Once finished, participants may go to the Merchandise Table to see if their number was chosen and what item they may have won.
Some of the items include: Chick-fil-A Meal for a Year Certificates; Golf for 4 at Old Hickory Golf Club; Teeth Whitening by My St. Peters Dentist; Hotel Packages; 1 Hour Massage by Breakthrough Pain Management Clinic; Restaurant Gift Certificates; Apparel from Life is Good/Jakes on Main; Pizzas from Sam's Club; Cardinals ticket vouchers;Wine Basket and SO MUCH MORE!

Karen for a Kause 2011 5K & 1 Mile Course Map

The course map will be included in your packet that you will be given at either packet pick-up or when you check-in on race morning.
The course will start at the Main Stage at Frontier Park and do a loop around the park of around 1 mile. 5K runners will then head north along the Katy Trail, run through the Blanchette Landing parking lot and return to finish near the same place as the start.

Registration is still open for this year's Karen For A Kause 5K Fun Run/Walk, 1 Mile Walk & Children's Mad Dash Against Cancer, to be held on Saturday, May 7th (the day before Mother's Day) in Frontier Park in St. Charles. Last year's event had over 1200 runners/walkers, volunteers and spectators and raised almost $30,000!
You may register online until May 4th at midnight at http://www.active.com/event_detail.cfm?event_id=1942616 (add'l fee applies) or click and print off the "Registration Form" pdf located above. After May 4th, registration may be done so on Friday, May 6th from 9am-7pm at the packet pick-up at Coldwell Banker Gundaker at 4101 Bluestone Drive in St. Charles (near TGI Friday's), or on Saturday, May 7th at Frontier Park from 8am-9am the morning of the event.
Over $5000 in attendance prizes will be given away! All registered 5K and 1 Mile participants will automatically be entered into the drawing!

Con Trios Yacht Club Makes a Generous Donation

In 2010, members of the Con Trios Yacht Club agreed to make a generous donation of $1000 to the Karen Weidinger Foundation (KWF). Included in the photo (from left to right) are Past Commodore of Con Trios Sonny Robbins, as well as KWF members Howard Weidinger, Brian Wies, Maria Caruso, Pren Beauchamp and Debbie Weidinger.
