- An estimated 3,730 new
cases will be diagnosed in Missouri
in 2007
- Breast Cancer is the
leading cause of cancers among white and African American women.
- One in eight women will
have breast cancer in their lifetime.
- Women who are diagnosed at
a young age are more likely to die from this disease than any other
disease
- It is estimated that almost
25% of all men diagnosed with breast cancer will die from it.
- Early detection may
increase your chance at survival.
- Breast Cancer has declined by
2.3% from 1996 to 2000.
- Breast cancer is
hereditary, although every person is vulnerable to the disease.
